Because so many people are somewhat anxious when they visit a church without knowing something about it, we have prepared this article to help you understand more about us.

Worship is praising God and expressing our love for Him. Because of the nature of worship, we have designed our worship service to draw you closer to God and provide an atmosphere that will allow you to worship God with your whole heart.

We strive to implement the principles of God as they are given to us in His inspired word, the Bible. Because worship is participation, you are warmly encouraged to join us in each item that applies to you.

One of the greatest ways to worship God is through song. The scripture speaks of the early Christians singing and making melody in their hearts (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). We love to do the same! Even though our singing is for the Lord, we hope that the songs we select will bring you peace and spiritual enjoyment. We encourage you to sing along with us; giving God the praise He is due.

The teaching is designed to instruct and encourage you to be right with God. You are invited to follow the minister in the Bible as he presents the lesson. It is our prayer that you will benefit greatly from the message you hear.

The contribution, or collection, is taken at our Sunday morning worship service. You may also give in our mobile app or online at our website.  At this time our members give back to God a portion of what He has blessed them with, as they have purposed in their hearts (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). It is voluntary and used for our commitment to service. As a visitor, please do not feel obligated to give.

The Lord’s Supper, or communion, is observed as it was the night of our Lord’s betrayal. A prayer of thanks is given for the bread which represents the body of Christ. Each Christian takes a piece and eats it. Next, a prayer is given for the cup which represents the blood of Christ. As with the bread, each Christian takes a cup and drinks from it. This memorial of Christ’s death is observed at this congregation every Sunday and is the primary focus of our worship service.

Our prayers are designed to thank God for His blessings and request His continued care over us.

At each service, a song will be sung to allow time for response. Those wishing to become Christians, ask for prayers, or confess sins are invited to step forward and let their desires be made known. Becoming a Christian involves believing in Christ (Hebrews 11:6), repenting of sins (Luke 13:3), confessing Christ (Romans 10:9-10), and being baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:26-27). Through this act of obedience a person is recognized as a member of the Lord’s church. This action is voluntary and is based on belief in Jesus as the Son of God, and on surrendering one’s life to the authority of Christ. No one will ever be singled out for public attention or embarrassment.

Now that we have introduced you to our worship and its observance, perhaps you would like to know something about the people present.

Many in this world are searching for truth. We believe that truth can only be found in one person: Jesus Christ. As a congregation of believers under the leadership and lordship of Christ, we accept the Bible as God’s inerrant, inspired word and we wear the name Christian. May Jesus Christ be exalted in all the earth!
